Seeking a Part-Time Social Worker for Schools in Des Plaines, IL This contract position offers an opportunity to provide vital social work services within the educational setting of two schools. The role is designed for a compassionate and skilled professional with experience supporting students' social and emotional needs. Location: Des Plaines, Illinois Schedule: Part-time, 3 days per week Setting: Schools (serving two separate school locations) Position Type: Contract Responsibilities include: - Conducting assessments to identify students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs - Collaborating with teachers, counselors, and families to develop intervention plans - Providing individual and group counseling for students facing challenges - Connecting students and families with community resources and support services - Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success and well-being - Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation consistent with school policies Preferred qualifications and experience: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work (BSW or MSW) from an accredited program - Valid social work licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Illinois - Prior experience working in schools or with children and adolescents - Knowledge of school systems, child development, and community resources - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach - Ability to manage caseloads effectively while maintaining empathy and professionalism Benefits of this role include flexibility with the part-time schedule, the chance to make a meaningful impact on students lives, and the opportunity to work within a supportive educational environment.
