looking for you! As a countrywide field-based technical product
consultant you will be a key member of Baxters service supporting
the service of medical devices within hospital and clinical
settings. Technical product consultants are product experts who
interface with customers and internal teams to resolve escalated
field service repairs, customer issues, and conduct product
training. You will resolve difficult customer situations with root
cause identification usually requiring significant technical or
procedural troubleshooting. You will use interpersonal skills to
deescalate issues and work effectively with cross-functional teams
consisting of internal/external,clinical,and technical resources in
high stress situations. The Essential Roles and Responsibilities of
the role are:
- Primary contact and subject matter expert to handle escalated
service repair issues, provide expert technical support, and
conduct ongoing training with both internal and external
stakeholders.
- Effectively and proactively liaises between the customer,
service depot, R&D and field service, and other stakeholders to
assist in day-to day needs.
- Communicate accurately and confidently during customer
resolutions, while maintaining customer confidence in the product,
the field representative, or the company.
- Leverage industry leading concepts to deliver robust, data
driven solutions, e.g. Lean, Six Sigma
- Apply expert knowledge to troubleshoot and repair escalated
product and systems issues from field service representatives, in
assigned device(s) and computer-based systems.
- Participate in installation planning phase to support new and
existing product launches.
- Effectively manage and schedule travel to stakeholder and
clinical facilities to provide technical support, technical
training, and attend meetings or trainings.
- Conduct technical training classes for internal/external
attendees.
- Assists with the implementation and continuous improvement in
training programs, curricula, offerings, forms and/or any other
training related material.
- Lead and execute individual and team projects that maximize
customer value and improve the company's financial results.
- Adhere to all environmental, health and safety SOPs, equipment,
policies, and procedures, including any department specific
requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
- Proven track record successfully resolving difficult customer
situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence
and collaborate with others outside of reporting authority to
achieve shared goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven job track record for building solid relationships with
teammates, business partners and specialists by fostering teamwork,
partnership and collaboration.
- Lead by example following and supporting company
guidelines.
- Provide direction and mentoring to team members.
- Ability to work in clinical settings such as hospitals and
clinics and abide by customer personal protective equipment (PPE)
requirements including, but not limited to gowning and facial
masks.
- Familiar with data analysis concepts and tools such as
Microsoft office applications (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- Preferred IT knowledge on general connectivity, network
integration of devices, wireless protocols, mobile network
technologies, software support and cyber security standards
- Requires the ability to carry out the physical requirements of
the job including kneeling and standing for long periods of time,
squatting, bending, lifting, pulling, twisting.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and
occasionally lift and/or move in excess of 50 pounds using lifting
aids, technologies, or appropriate assistance.
- Must be able to sit and drive extended distances as per region
requirements or fly for a number of hours.
- Must be able to travel 50-75% including overnight stays as
required.
- Must have valid drivers license. Experiences and Education
- Bachelors degree is preferred plus 2 years of related
experience
- Associate degree plus 5 years of related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 or more years field service
or biomedical technician, electronics, technical, etc., with
electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience We understand
compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step
in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for
all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our
pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range
of $60,000 to $132,000 plus an annual incentive bonus. The above
range represents the expected base salary range for this position.
The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including,
but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role,
business line, and geographic/office location. The successful
candidate for this job may be required to verify that he or she has
