Job Description:

The Cadence/Prelude Analyst works as a member of the Clinical Information Systems team that will support Epic's applications as well as other business applications requested. Under minimal supervision, configures, tests, modifies and maintains the software application. Participates in end-user design and validation meetings and supports roll-out of new implementations by participation in testing, design of training modules, integrated testing and command center support. Supports live applications and sites by sharing on-call support, monitoring Help Desk tickets and designing enhancement and optimization solutions.*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support and ownership of 2 to 3 Epic modules
  • Provides assistance with system system maintenance/upgrade and implementation, including system definition, building, testing and conversion planning and interfaces.
  • Complete projects which includes supporting system enhancements/new features, upgrades/quarterly updates and optimization
  • Investigate moderately complex system errors and/or failures, and coordinate the resolution of these issues
  • Understands workflows with the objective to meet business needs
  • Develops and monitors testing scenarios and methodologies to demonstrate system effectiveness. Prepares and maintains documentation on testing plans.
  • Participates in completion of user documentation and training procedures.
  • Participate in various IT projects as the data and subject matter expert
  • Utilize project management skills for planning, testing script updates, reviewing of release notes, testing workflow and build changes for quarterly updates and system upgrades.
  • Provides on-call supportKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    • Minimum 2 years of related experience
    • Experience working in an healthcare ambulatory setting desirable
    • Experience implementing industry best practices to drive optimized operations
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills with technical and clinical audiences
    • Excellent analytical skills
    • Exceptional organizational skills to facilitate work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
    • Able to articulate customer business problems
    • Strong technical command of common office tools (e.g. Microsoft Office suite, departmental applications)**EDUCATION and / or CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
      • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Health Care field with related training. A combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience has been directly related to the functions of the job
      • Certification, if applicable for assigned applications. For Epic applications, current Epic certification required, or ability to complete certification within three (3) months of employment.
      • Experience with process improvements
