We are
currently looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer
position within
UOP.
-
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to visit customer
refineries,
chemical plants, or fabrication shops for the purpose of assessing
the
mechanical integrity of the process equipment and verifying
conformance to
Honeywell UOP, customer, and code specifications. -
This position has many physical inspection requirements such as:
climbing up,
crawling through, and walking on pressure vessels, storage tanks
and piping
either at the process plants or in the fabrication shops. -During
plant turnarounds inspectors assess
equipment condition, issue repair recommendations, verify
suitability of repair
completion, and forecast future repairs or replacement of
equipment. Shop
inspections of equipment occur during all stages of fabrication to
ensure
compliance to UOP standard specifications, customer requirements,
engineering
specifications and all applicable industry codes. -Each inspector
writes their own reports using
UOP's computer generated forms on a supplied laptop computer, and
effectively
presents the results to the customer at meetings on a frequent
basis. -
This position requires extensive travel to locations throughout the
world. -Assignments generally last from 1-6 weeks,
with no return home typically available during that time. Work
hours during an
assignment are generally six days per week, 10 hours per day, but
can be
12-hour days, seven days a week if customer's schedule/timeline
requires it. -Night shifts and holiday coverage are also a
possibility.

Metallurgy Professional - API 580 Risk Based Inspection
Professional API 936 Refractory Quality
Control Professional AWS CWI American Welding Society
Certified Welding Inspector NBIC National Board Inspection
Code (Fired & Un-Fired Pressure Vessels & Boilers)
(both internal and external), our reporting systems, and the
importance of
correct and timely expense and time reporting
