An excellent career opportunity is currently available for a Mechanical Engineer II - Hydrogen Equipment -within our Engineering Skills Group in Des Plaines, IL. - The mechanical engineer will function as a key technical resource supporting the delivery of Equipment packages. - -

Key Responsibilities: - - -
--- Accountable for supply of assigned H2 valve skid projects and assures all sub-vendor work is monitored / audited and personally inspected to the extent required to assure on-time delivery of zero defect product -
--- Attends pre-inspection meetings and Valve Skid inspections of assigned work and/or leads relationship with hired contractor or shared resource supporting the delivery of the equipment. -
--- Adjusts to multiple demands and shifting priorities. Prioritizes tasks appropriately, and responds quickly and accurately to internal and external Customer requests -
--- Analyzes and recommends solutions to technical problems -
--- Works closely with other project team members: Process, Detailed Designers, Vessel Engineer, Instrumentation, Controls and Project Management to ensure Equipment is delivered per project requirements. -
--- Communicates with the assigned project manager(s) on budget, schedule, quality, and progress on assigned work. -
--- Supports technical sales support for fixed/budgetary price proposals, performs customer specification reviews and develops Plot Plans for EquipmentYou Must Have: - -
---Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
---2+ years mechanical engineering design experienceWe Value: - -
---Some experience in the mechanical design of equipment with applications in the refining, petrochemical, gas processing or similar industry.
---Demonstrated ability to work independently to effectively deliver on complex situations and balance multiple priorities.
---Demonstrated ability to convey information with clarity and directness, ensuring the message is understood across diverse, global teams.
---Ability to travel 10% both domestic and internationally -UOP102020
