Job Description:

KTS is seeking an experienced, talented, and motivated Flight Test Engineer. The successful candidate will have significant experience with computer hardware and software and have demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a high-pressure environment. This position works with limited supervision, handles simultaneous tasks, contributes innovate ideas to improve product capabilities, and leads smaller integration efforts. Responsibilities:

• Support field testing including system installation, data collection, and performance analysis
• Execute system integration, verification and validation, and effectiveness analysis
• Design test installation configurations, wire harnesses, and data collection systems
• Work with other KTS engineering disciplines to design, develop and test hardware and software systems
• Direct interface with external customers and the Warfighter regarding the scheduling, execution, and performance of field testingRequirements:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • In person/onsite position
  • Travel required to support field test events
  • Comfortable with computer hardware, architecture, networking and software
  • Experience with Windows and Unix operating systems
  • Experience with basic electronics including circuits and wiring diagrams
  • C/C++ or scripting language (Matlab, Python) programming experience preferred
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills in high pressure environments
  • Hardware and software troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
