In this position, you will Oversee, direct, coordinate, and be accountable for the mechanical installation project teams. Coordinate project manpower, maintain project budgets, and prepare reports for management. Requires strong communication skills.Position Responsibilities - This position requires 100% travel - Accountable for the entire mechanical installation at customer sites related to onsite activities, schedule, and budget. - Works closely with assigned project manager on customer related issues and schedule requirements and conforms safety for all employees. - Leads with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within conveyor systems installations. - Works closely with the Manager and Supporting Manager of installation services on manpower, forecasting, staffing, documenting hours of extra work with explanation (Overrun Alerts), and identifying risks early on. - Reports via email any inconsistencies in engineered drawings to the lead mechanical engineer and Installation Manager for resolution to avoid delays to the installation process within 24 hours to maintain a sense of urgency. - Requests and documents all inspections, repair work, and equipment failures - Attends on site meetings with customer when necessary to coordinate any special situations related to work schedules, badge issues, staging and storage of equipment and tools, break room and restroom usage, and any other issues related to the performance of the mechanical installation with the proper customer representatives. - Effectively communicates and sets expectations with Mechanical Leads to broadcast directives down to support installers. - Plays an active role in the hiring and layoff process of local labor coordinating all actions with the Installation Manager and HR representative or Labor Supplier. - Keeps an updated log of changes made from original layout of system and submits (as builds) Drawings back to engineering for every project. - Completes and signs check out sheets for entire system to accept responsibility, of work and assure a high level of quality installation. - Assists engineering commissioners with system run-in, trouble shooting, and rate tests to ensure conveyor rates specifications are met. - Demonstrates proven knowledge with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within conveyor systems installations. - Leads with a "hands on" approach to the work. - Flexible and adaptive with engineering, customer, general contractor, and supporting labor issues. - Applies mastery of skills and adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment, as appropriate to the needs of the project - Able to perform and teach: - Read and interpret drawings - Perform layout using datum lines and other references - Layout and install ceiling support header/hanger steel efficiently - Reviews, orders, and installs building air to designated drops per the Engineered drawings - Installs Platform using most effective methods - Competent with several types of conveyor product lines - Maintain housekeeping and general clean up duties throughout the site. - May be required to serve as a qualifier for various licenses.Remote work is allowed.Must Have - 5+ years of experience in a leadership role in the conveyor industry required.We Value - Direct 30+ employees and 4-10 leads on large projects. - Ability to use Microsoft Office programs and Internet Explorer effectively. - High school diploma or its equivalent preferred but not required. - Patience in stressful environments - Ability to effectively manage tight project schedules - Experience planning and estimating time for installation-related activities - Innovative approaches to improving standard processes - Experience supervising 30+ people directly on any given project - Excellent communication skills - Demonstrated ability to operate independently - Ability to use experience to appropriately apply the established standards - Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team - Previous customer service experienceTools That Are 100% Required on Day 1: - Wrench set 3/8"- 1 1/4" - 3/8" Drive socket set 3/8"- 1 1/4" - 3/8" ratchet - Allen Wrench Set - Speed Square/Combination Square - Line up Pin - Needle nose pliers - Standard Pliers - Needle nose vise grips - 2lb. or 3lb, Hammer - 25' or 30' tape measure - 12" torpedo level - Band cutters - Phillips and flathead screwdrivers - 12" adjustable wrench - Razor knife - Chalk box - Mill File - Flashlight - Steel toe safety shoes - Needs reliable transportation to customer sites.PPE and Attire - Candidates must provide and wear steel toe safety shoes at all times - Hard Hat (provided by Honeywell) - Safety Vest (provided by Honeywell) - Cut resistant gloves (provided by Honeywell) - Jeans/work pants - No skirts or shorts - No overly loose or tight garments - Long hair tied up at all times while onsiteAdditional InformationJOB ID: req355710Category: Customer ExperienceLocation: 50 E Algonquin Rd,Des Plaines,Illinois,60017-5016,United StatesExemptSupply Chain (CHINA)Honeywell is an equal opportunity employer.
