About the Repairs Position: The Repairs Tech responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing Apple devices. The goal is to produce a device that exceeds customer expectations for operational and presentability standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • • Ensure that all repairs performed meet company quality standards
  • • Keep track of repairs department incoming inventory
  • • Disassemble, diagnose, replace defective parts, and reassemble completed device
  • • MacOS and iOS proficiency
  • • Thorough knowledge of MacBooks, iMacs, iPhones and iPad components
  • • Support productivity by ensuring all requests are handled in a timely manner
  • • Have the ability to work unsupervised, while prioritizing and delivering timely, high-quality work
  • • Ability to record work performed in an accurate manner
  • • Sort and place items on racks, shelves or in bins, according to organizational standards
  • • Wear assigned safety equipment and maintain safety standards
  • • Communicate and cooperate with coworkers and supervisors
  • • Operate and maintain standards of warehouse equipment and supplies
  • • Follow quality service standards and company procedures, rules, and regulations
  • • Contribute ideas to improve and optimize workflows
  • • Keep the warehouse and workstations cleaned and organized
  • • Organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • • Willingness to be flexed/cross-trained to other departments as needed

Qualification Requirements:

  • • High School degree or equivalent experience required
  • • Proven experience as an Apple technician or similar role
  • • Minimum 1-year technical experience
  • • Strong attention to detail
  • • Strong computer proficiency, both hardware and software
  • • Work well in team environment and be a collaborative team player
  • • Dependable and reliable attendance and job performance
  • • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • • Must possess strong organizational skills while working as a team and individually
  • • Must be able to communicate effectively and have good interpersonal skills
  • • Must possess strong time management and decision-making skills
  • • Must be adaptable, able to problem solve, and be detail-oriented

Work environment: The daily work environment is within an enclosed Production Center or Warehouse. The center is not climate controlled, so you may be working in the heat or cold. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving parts and forklifts. Must be able to tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the position and within a warehouse-like setting. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those requirements employees must meet to perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear. The employee is constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and walk. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
