OfficeTeam is working with a client to find a Logistics Coordinator. We need the person in this Logistics Clerk position to know how to work with clients coordinating shipments. You will succeed in this role if you can perform a heavy amount of data entry, along with customer service. We need the person in this Logistics Clerk position to know how to take responsibility for the processing of customer orders, including coordination with vendors and arranging shipments. Apply immediately! This short-term temporary employment opportunity is based in the Des Plaines, Illinois area.

How you will make an impact

- Perform various administrative duties

- Announce and arrange with inventory and sales management; warehouse; logistics for service changes

- Monitor, track and support dispatch & progress of orders on time and to meet delivery requirements

- Follow-up with carriers, as necessary

- Meet guidelines for approving carriers

- Shipping Functions experience highly desired

- Solid understanding of Order Picking

- Expertise in Warehouse Distribution

- Foundational knowledge in Shipping

- Shipping & receiving experience

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset

- Capacity to operate basic office equipment, complete general office work and route incoming materials

- Excellent data entry skills

- 2+ years' experience with shipping/logistics

- Can you offer experience in purchasing, inventory control, transportation and warehousing functions to a position?
