As part of an Alinity m R&D System Integration team, the candidate will support the post market surveillance of product performance through rigorous life cycle testing. This position will assist in creating data via high volume mock-patient sample testing and root-cause failure analysis that will ensure that the product continues meets the operational and reliability requirements while providing internal metrics critical for continuous improvement. WHAT YOU'LL DO* Working independently preparing test samples, operating products and analyzing products' output and results. * Execution of detailed repetitive customer-like operational tasks while testing product * Perform root-cause failure analysis and reporting on product's system and subsystems * Reading and writing of basic shell programming code * Provide feedback and insights on usability and operation of product * Demonstrate Good Lab Practices * Perform reliability engineering and statistical analysis* Proactive in finding quality improvements related to Reliability Engineering* Works cross functionally with Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing and Regulatory to establish measurable, valid productrequirements.* Work collaboratively with product development and design assurance.* Aides in definition of test equipment as required to accomplish quality responsibilities.* Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies,operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.* Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors,and vendors.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRINGRequired* Degree in Engineering--(Systems, BME, Mechanical, EE, Industrial or equivalent)* 1-3 years of experience* Reliability Modeling and Analysis Experience Preferred* Medical Device or healthcare experience related experience preferredWHAT WE OFFER At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
