Job Description:
The hiring range for this role is:125,870.00 - 176,525.00This is
the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would
pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately
pay more or less than the hiring range, and this range may be
modified in the future. A candidate's position within the range
depends on factors such as competencies, education, qualifications,
certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift,
travel requirements, and organizational needs. The role is eligible
for annual bonus incentive pay.We offer a comprehensive benefits

Description Summary:Responsible for providing legal services to
internal clients, mainly contract drafting, negotiation, and policy
interpretation for departments like Business Development, Strategic
Services, Procurement, IT, and Blue 365, supporting BCBSA and Blue
Plans' objectives.This role involves structuring, drafting, and
negotiating complex commercial transactions, including procurement
contracts, software and SaaS licenses, data agreements, GPO
contracts, VAIS program discounts, and other legal
matters.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Providing
legal counsel on contracts, disputes, privacy, cybersecurity,
anti-kickback issues, and overseeing outside counsel.Offering legal
support to other divisions such as HR, Finance, IT, and Licensure,
including reviewing conference materials, advising on strategic
initiatives, website content, compliance, and policy
drafting.Required Education, Certifications, and Experience:Juris
Doctorate and admission to a state bar.Minimum of five (5) years of
legal practice in contract negotiation and drafting.Skills:Legal
research, analysis, drafting, IT industry knowledge, organizational
skills, project management, client communication, and HIPAA/privacy
