Summary: The Associate General Counsel will be part of a tenured Legal team consisting of a General Counsel, Assistant General Counsel and Paralegal that is handling contracting, regulatory, and operational issues in support of 18 resorts (and growing). Familiarity with contract law is essential and familiarity with employment law, hospitality and/or compliance programs will be viewed favorably. Matters will include vendor contracting, non-disclosure agreements, significant transactions, regulatory compliance and departmental administration.Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret complex contracts in compliance with company policies and risk tolerances
• Responsible for interpreting and advising on laws and regulation
• Participate in projects and initiatives to help identify and mitigate legal risk
• Responsible for handling and efficiently prioritizing various tasks simultaneously
• Involved in the development and implementation of new policies and programs; research, and preparation of presentations and reports
• Manages and consults with business leaders on the legal aspects of policies, procedures and processes to accomplish company objectives
• Attend continuing legal education seminars to keep abreast of changes in relevant areas of law
• Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes
• Coordinate work streams with other members of legal department as well as across other company departments and functions
• Special projects as assignedRequired Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited university
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in a respective state bar; if licensed outside of Wisconsin and Illinois, licensing requirements to be evaluated
  • Minimum 3 years' experience either in-house practicing corporate counsel or with a law firm in relevant and applicable areas of law
  • General corporate background; corporate governance management; well-versed in commercial contracting / terms and conditions
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with appropriate prioritization and an ability to work independently
  • Able to develop and maintain good working relationships and collaborate cross-functionally with business and other partners
  • Able to efficiently research and analyze areas of law
  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and spoken
  • Demonstrated excellent attention to detail and contract drafting experience
  • Demonstrated ability to offer business-oriented and strategic solutions from a legal perspective
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environmentPreferred Qualifications:
