exciting career opportunity awaits you as a Sr. Advanced Chemical
Engineer - Technology Services Specialist within UOP's Lifecycle
Solutions and Technologies (LST) business unit. This role is based
in Des Plaines, Illinois, and plays a pivotal part in ensuring the
seamless transition of UOP's technology to maintain the safe and
profitable operation of UOP-licensed or UOP-designed units. It
involves regular interactions with both our external and internal
customers, offering exposure to various facets of the UOP
organization.This role offers a hybrid working schedule and has the
flexibility to work from one of our Honeywell PMT locations:--
Houston (TX), Des Plaines (IL), or Tulsa (OK).----Key
Responsibilities:--- Provide technical expertise across a spectrum
of UOP technologies, with a primary focus on HF Alkylation and
secondary involvement with FCC, MEROX, MTJ, and Renewables.---
Extend technical support to external stakeholders, including
licensee/operating companies, Engineering Procurement &
Construction (EPC) contractors, vendors, and consultants.---
Collaborate with internal customers, encompassing Field Services,
CSO, R&D, Engineering, and Business groups.--- Assume primary
responsibility for executing the transfer of Honeywell technology,
ensuring UOP-licensed or UOP-designed units operate optimally,
profitably, and safely. This entails regular engagement with
external customers and internal UOP personnel engaged in technology
delivery projects.--- Foster collaboration with all UOP departments
involved in technology delivery, such as R&D, Sales/Sales
Support, and Engineering.--- Actively participate in R&D
initiatives aimed at enhancing technology.--- Advocate for changes
and improvements in supported technologies through innovation
[MOIs].--- Serve as the central point for office-based support
during new unit and revamped unit startups, from pre-commissioning
through guaranteed acceptance.--- Attend customer meetings and
contribute to Engineering review sessions for new units and
revamps, including Design Basis, PFD, P&ID, MFD, Plot Plans,
HAZOP, Model Reviews, and more.--- Analyze and provide feedback on
commercial unit operating data and other commercial insights.---
Offer troubleshooting assistance, both in-office and on-site, to
commercial units.--- Conduct on-site commercial unit audits.---
Develop and update general operating manuals, process technology
manuals, and training materials, and deliver UOP technology
training courses both domestically and internationally.--- When
opportunities arise, author MOIs for processes within your
domain.--- Pursue Six Sigma Green Belt certification and apply
relevant tools and techniques to improvement projects.--- Assist in
preparing materials for and participating in Technical Symposia and
Sales Meetings.YOU MUST HAVE:---Bachelor's Degree in Chemical
Engineering--WE VALUE:---7+ years' experience in HF Alkylation
process technologies acquired through Field Operating Services,
Design Engineering, Refinery process engineering/operations, or
technical services.---Additional experience with one of the
following UOP technologies - FCC, Treating, or MTJ.---Demonstrated
communication and interpersonal skills.---Effective problem-solving
abilities.---Strong presentation skills.---Proficiency in MS
Office.---Exceptional organizational skills.---Ability to work
independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently.---Fundamental
knowledge of one or more of the listed technologies, including
