Job Description:
Illinois Cafe and Service Company owns and operates
Chicagoland's Premier Destination for slot and video poker. Our two
brands, Stella's Place and Shelby's, are neighborhood gathering
places for adults to enjoy a light meal and video gaming in the
comfort of a welcoming and friendly environment. The Compliance
Specialist/HR Administrative Assistant is responsible for the
development, review, documentation and maintenance of policies and
procedures related to the operational activities within the
Company.DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure processes across Service
and Operations areas are documented utilizing Company
standards.Author and manage Operations Policies, Procedures,
Supervisory Procedures, and Reference Material.Partner with Human
Resources to ensure documentation is updated and ensure new or
revised processes are integrated into training documentation.Ensure
timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of each document and report
submitted on behalf of the Company.Facilitate Human Resources
processes.Answer employee requests and questionsConduct audits of
payroll, benefits, and other HR programs, and recommend corrective
actions.Welcome new employees to the organization by conducting
orientation.Assist in the payroll processing as requested and
maintain employee information by entering and updating employment
and status-change data.Provide secretarial support by entering,
formatting, and printing information; organizing work; answering
the telephone; relaying messages; maintaining equipment and
supplies.Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by
keeping human resource information confidential.Maintain quality
service by following organization standards.Other duties as
assigned by management.Skills & Experience:Associate degree in
HR-related field required3+ years' related administrative
experience.Detail-oriented and organized.Strong communication and
customer service skillsSolid understanding of MS OfficeMust have a
reliable form of transportation.Able to use a touch-sensitive POS
System.Knowledge of the service environment.Strong interpersonal
skills.Ability to work as part of a team.Able to lift a minimum of
10 pounds.Attend meetings and trainings as required by
management.Perform other duties as requested by management.
