I'm currently partnered with the Controller and Director of Finance at a leading, private-equity backed, multi-million dollar beverage company. Our client specializes in the management, distribution, and marketing of a diverse portfolio of premium and well-loved alcohol brands and have established themselves as a key player in the spirits and beverage market over the last 10 years. Due to their organic and acquisitive growth, they are looking to add a Senior Staff Accountant to their team to assist in the oversight and completion of the month-end close and the financial reporting process, while gaining exposure to the finance activities of the organization, such as budgeting, forecasting, and more!Client DetailsI'm working with the Controller and Director of Finance at an exciting and growing multi-million dollar beverage company located near Lincolnwood, IL. Due to their growth, they are looking to bring on a Senior Staff Accountant to their growing team!DescriptionSenior Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Prepare and maintain schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, including gathering data, analyzing trends, and preparing reports.
• Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed, such as process improvements or system implementations.Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in Accounting
  • Public Accounting experience preferred
  • Manufacturing/Consumer Goods industry experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Net Suite experience a plus
  • Ample written and verbal communication skills
