Compensation: $31 to $45 depending on years of experience Position
Overview The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic and
therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under the direction of a
Radiologist. This role includes preparing and administering
radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, ensuring quality
control, and providing safe, compassionate patient care. The
technologist applies technical expertise, attention to detail, and
strong communication skills to produce accurate diagnostic results
that support patient treatment. Responsibilities Prepare and
administer oral and intravenous radiopharmaceuticals safely and in
accordance with protocols Perform a variety of nuclear medicine
diagnostic and therapeutic procedures Operate, troubleshoot, and
maintain nuclear medicine cameras and related equipment Ensure
image quality through proper positioning and equipment calibration
Process images and perform quality control checks according to
departmental standards Educate patients and families on procedures,
preparation, and post-exam expectations Accurately schedule,
document, and maintain patient records and reports Receive and
record physician orders and administer medications in compliance
with policy Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other
staff to ensure high-quality care Requirements Associate or
Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology (preferred) 6–12
months of experience (1 year preferred) Certification through NMTCB
or ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) (required) Active BLS/CPR certification
(or ability to obtain within 6 weeks of hire) Strong
organizational, technical, and communication skills Ability to move
and position imaging equipment and assist patients as needed
