Job Description:
Hourly Pay Range: $61.22 - $85.71 - The hourly pay rate offered
is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience,
among other factors. Position Highlights Position: Critical Care
Physician Assistant (PA) Location: Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL.
Full-Time (0.9 FTE) Hours: Rotating days/nights: 7A-7P and 7P-7A

Bonus Eligible for experienced candidates Job Description Exciting
opportunity to join Endeavor Health in critical care at Edward
Hospital in Naperville, IL. Under the direction of the
collaborating physician(s), provides critical care to patients in
the medical ICU. Obtains detailed history and performs physical
examinations, orders imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures
and interprets results. Instructs patients on the prescribed
therapeutic regimen. Maintains records and writes progress notes on
status, treatments and procedures. Follows patients through their
course of treatment in the hospital setting. Collaborates with
physicians and the health care team to achieve optimal patient
outcomes. Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies
as appropriate. Demonstrates evidence-based practice. Participates
in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of
practice in the specialty. Assesses the learning needs of patients
and families across the continuum. Employs strategies,
interventions and teaching to promote, maintain, and improve
health. Provide comprehensive health assessments, formulate
differential diagnoses, and prescribe treatments under the protocol
in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease.
Works autonomously and on interdisciplinary teams as resources and
consultants. Positively contributes to safety outcomes and promotes
high-quality patient experiences. Participates in the development,
implementation, and evaluation of service line goals. Supports the
strategic plan of the organization. Adheres to all Endeavor Health
policies and procedures. Qualifications: License: Physician
Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required; Federal DEA
and Illinois Controlled Substance License required Education:
Completion of master’s level program in specialty area
Certification: BLS/CPR certification required, ACLS certification
required Experience : Critical care experience as an PA preferred.
Willing to consider new graduate PAs with prior critical care
