Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Pediatrics - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/28/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Pediatric Registered Nurse (Peds RN)Job Summary: The Pediatric Registered Nurse provides compassionate, specialized nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents in a clinical or hospital setting. The RN is responsible for assessing patients, administering treatments, and working closely with families to provide education and emotional support throughout the child’s care journey. Qualifications: - Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. - Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred). - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (or must obtain after hire). - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. - 2 years of pediatric nursing experience preferred. Key Responsibilities:/n/nAssess pediatric patients’ physical and emotional needs and develop individualized care plans./n/nAdminister medications, IVs, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by physicians./n/nMonitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and development; promptly report changes in condition./n/nCollaborate with pediatricians, specialists, and the healthcare team to deliver coordinated care./n/nProvide support and education to families on managing illnesses, medications, and ongoing care./n/nComfort and reassure children using age-appropriate communication and therapeutic techniques./n/nPrepare patients and families for diagnostic tests, procedures, or surgeries./n/nMaintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with legal and facility standards./n/nUphold safety and infection control policies and respond to emergencies appropriately./n/nSupport emotional and developmental needs of pediatric patients.
