In a typical branch office, a financial advisor meets with clients and receives branch office support, so they can focus on building deep relationships with clients. Headquarters associates in St. Louis, Tempe and Mississauga provide support and expertise to help U.S. and Canada branch teams deliver an ideal client experience. We continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual investors.This is a HYBRID role. Candidate will be working 3 to 4 days per week in the office.

Responsibility Summary :

Development of the vision, direction and strategy for Home Office Real Estate, assuring alignment to Enterprise Workplace Solutions and Firm objectives.Communication of their area's Vision, Direction and Strategy to associates in their area of responsibility as well as other Finance/Firm leaders.Establishing area goals and accountable for area resultsMaintenance and advancement of area core functions Providing oversight of major construction and facility management projects including monitoring progress and results. Leading cross functional initiatives such as new building implementations in collaboration with other divisions, such as , Operations, Digital, Human Resources, Finance, Client Solutions/Products and Services, MPO and Enterprise Workplace Solutions.Management of significant Firm expense and/or vendor relationships.Ensure appropriate internal controls are developed, implemented, documented and followed.Proactively working to impact current and future business results.Development of internal and external networks required to effectively solve business issuesBuild, maintain, and leverage relationships to gather critical information and influence key decisions. This involves communication and coordination both within and outside the organization, including at the executive level.Communicating key concepts to senior and executive management clearly, both in written and oral form, in order to effectively influence critical decisions.Demonstrating the ability to analyze, comprehend, and leverage complex financial and/or operational data.Promotion of operational efficiency and effectiveness (process improvement) across areas of responsibility, Enterprise Workplace Solutions, and firm.Leverage internal and external relationships to ensure teams deliverables are in compliance with industry best practices and conforming to regulatory requirementsDefining talent needs to accomplish objectives, advance organizational capabilities and support succession planning.Monitor climate within area of responsibility, including appropriate response to SFA results.Promotion of Edward Jones culture and spirit of volunteerism across the division and firm in coordination with other leaders.Foster an environment of development for your associates and leaders and hold them accountable to achieve their desired development goalsHold associates and leaders accountable and reward performance grounded in the RBM frameworkQualifications Required in the Job:
Bachelor's Degree and preferred Advanced Degree or Certification in related field. Minimum 15 years of related work experience in facility management and construction project management is required.Significant leadership experience with increasing levels of responsibility.Real estate industry experience and knowledge preferred.Advanced to expert in leasing, real estate development, construction management, repair and maintenance, business continuity, risk management, physical security, or administration. Ability to manage complex matters or processes.Strong leadership skills. Ability to lead multiple projects / people at same time. Ability to communicate with internal and external parties on many levels.
Problem Solving:
Responsible for processes and outcomes that have a broad firm impact such as regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, continuity of business operations, customer service, crisis management, insurable or third party risk, associate and client physical safety and accurate vendor payment. Ability to anticipate problems and recommend and execute solutions. Problems are often complex and require knowledge of firm operations, regulations and industry best practices. This requires an understanding of current and future financial and technical climates in the industry, and assessing the potential impact to current processes, controls, systems and the firm's growth objectives.Individual is required to understand the broad implications of their solutions.

  • Ability to analyze information and use experience, creativity and good judgment to make complex, non-routine decisions and manage complex matters and processes with limited guidance.
  • Ability to make timely decisions and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

    Span of Influence:
    Make decisions for the area and influence decisions at Division and Firm level through collaboration with other leaders. Impact of decisions has a lasting impact on the Firm. Ability to anticipate future business needs and ensure that the departments are being developed to handle both current and future needs.Has responsibility for an entire functional area of Enterprise Workplace Solutions, including leaders and associates. Collaborates with other leaders within the Enterprise Workplace Solutions division and/or other divisions of the firm and with external service providers. Interact with and influence the division, other business areas, and the firm's strategic direction as it relates to real estate solutions.
