www.uop.com.UOP is hiring an experienced Account Manager with Full
Cycle Sales accountability in the Refining, Petrochemical, and
Adsorbent industry. This position will preferably be based in Des
Plaines, IL, US Gulf Coast will be considered.Key
Responsibilities:---Forecast product demand and revenue (for
refining, petrochemical, catalysts, adsorbents, and services) for
assigned accounts 18 months into the future and deliver on
resulting annual targets.---Forecast project opportunities and
revenue (for technology sales, engineering work, gas processing,
etc.) for assigned accounts 18 months into the future and deliver
on resulting annual targets.---Manage customer relationships and
coverage by sharing information and developing account plans
throughout UOP.---Lead opportunities through the entire sales
cycle: Identify opportunity, clarify bid, develop sales strategy,
enroll and aligning sales support, submit proposal, close the deal,
work with order management, production planning and service to
make, deliver and service the product.---Support Business and
Technology functions by providing market and competitor
intelligence.---Report and work with internal resources to resolve
customer issues including legal agreements.---Maintain all internal
work and sales processes, e.g. SFDC.---20-30% domestic travel
annually.You Must Have:--- BS degree in Engineering--- 5+ years'
experience within either the refining, petrochemical, midstream, or
gas processing industries.--- 1+ years' of experience with the
operations in either the refining, petrochemical, midstream, or gas
processing industries (i.e. knowledge of catalysts and absorbents
application in respective industry)We Value:--- Bachelor's degree
in Chemical Engineering--- 6 or more years of direct sales and/or
sales support (high level of customer focused engagements)
experience--- Demonstrated ability to sell into a competitive
market place and achieve premium prices by communicating the value
achieved by the customer using UOP technologies, products and
services--- Knowledge of the application of catalysts, adsorbents,
or technologies in refinery, petrochemical, and gas processes in
either the refining, petrochemical, gas, and midstream industries
in the Americas--- Experience with adsorption/treating, reforming,
isomerization, hydroprocessing, gas processing, or petrochemicals
(i.e. OLEFINS or Aromatics) --- Experience using CRM (i.e SFDC)---
Good listening and communication skills--- The ability to work
effectively with other sales colleagues and sales support functions
is key--- A strong customer and business focus--- Fluency in
