Join us at Generations at Oakton Pavillion---and love what you do!Responsibilities of the Successful Director of Nursing (DON):Manage the nursing departmentDirect staff and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to provide physical and psychological support to the residents and their familiesSupervise scheduling of sufficient staff to ensure uninterrupted service to the residents at all timesAssist with recruiting, interviewing and hiring potential employeesAssist in completing monthly audits of sample EMR charting Review admissions/referrals and assist in interviewing/selecting residents for admission with the Administrator's approvalServe as chairperson of the Quality Assurance Committee and any other committees as required by existing regulations or as appointed by the AdministratorPrepare clinical nursing reports for the quarterly Quality Assurance meetingsPrepare Performance Improvement reports as required by JCAHO guidelinesSupervise the MDS/Care Plan CoordinatorIND1.
