Job Description:
Job Description Director of Finance is a critical leadership
role responsible for furthering our mission to make the world
safer, healthier and more productive. The Director will advance the
mission through operational partnership, strategic thought
leadership and strong financial governance. Some of the core
responsibilities of the role are to direct financial planning
(long-range & annual), analysis, forecasts and reports that provide
the financial insight for decision making on business opportunities
and challenges. The Director will lead and guide plant finance
leaders in managing day-to-day financial requirements as well as
strengthening financial processes and controls to help reach
business objectives. Most importantly, the Director is a strategic
business partner to the President, working collaboratively together
to ensure the business meets our financial commitments in the short
and long-term. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, this
individual will also be responsible for working collaboratively
throughout the organization to support the group's values by
establishing trust, demonstrating a bias for action and promoting
an entrepreneurial mindset. Key Responsibilities Partnering with
the President to influence all the critical elements of business
success. Driving execution of a wide range of business improvement
activities beyond the finance function and across the entire
company. Working, cross-functionally, with the leadership team to
create and implement plans strategies and tactics to improve
operating leverage and cash creation. Building and maintaining a
best-in-class finance team. Shaping and supporting a culture that
stresses a bias for action and an unwavering commitment to
enhancing an entrepreneurial environment and operating model.
Driving long-range and annual planning activities across the
segment which incorporates both bottoms-up plant input and
top-down, strategic priorities to ensure we are meeting or
exceeding division potential. Maintain proper accounting controls
and procedures. Prepare and communicate monthly reports which
summarize business activity and drivers of financial position in
areas of revenue, income, cash flow and other key performance
indicators based on past, present, and expected operations.
Qualifications and Attributes Bachelor---s degree from four-year
college or university (CPA/MBA a plus) 5 years of progressive
business experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. Lean
Manufacturing and/or 80/20 experience will merit strong additional
