seeking an Obsolescence Engineer Level 2 . In this role, a
successful candidate will be responsible for performing Diminishing
Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) management to
ensure contractual requirements and program support strategy are
achieved. DMSMS management is accomplished using in-house and
third-party tools for identification, investigation, selection, and
tracking of resolutions. This position will also operate as an
Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead responsible for chairing
recurring DMSMS IPT meetings and managing the related efforts of
Buyers, Supply Chain, Standards & Components, Product Follow, and
general Engineering members. The individual in this role will be
expected to collaborate with and maintain close coordination with
several related IPTs, provide detailed status to external customers
and program leadership, and participate in program reviews.
Responsibilities include: Implementing the department DMSMS process
for the program. Collection of information from multiple internal
and external sources (customer, suppliers, internal, SAP, MPLM,
etc.). Analysis of Bill of Material (BOM), drawings, and parts
lists, and the ability to manipulate this data in Microsoft Office
for the preparation of customer deliverables. Basic analysis of
component-level data sheets, life-cycle data, and YTEOL data to
identify and validate obsolescence issues. Management and reporting
upon obsolescent inventory utilizing SAP, MRO, in-house macros,
advanced Excel skills, and supplier contact. Create, analyze, and
produce DMSMS technology roadmaps, impact assessments, issue
reports, and present data to customers and upper management. Serve
as an DMSMS IPT Lead. Chair recurring IPT meetings and manage the
related efforts of Buyers, Supply Chain, Standards & Components,
Product Follow, and general Engineering members. Coordinate and
collaborate across internal functional organizations. Collaborate
with other related IPT leads, customers, and suppliers. Assist in
preparation of Statement of Work (SOW) wording for DMSMS
requirements, and development of Basis of Estimates (BOEs). Serve
as primary liaison for internal Program Management and external
customers through virtual and in-person briefings and
presentations. This position will be full-time, on-site at our
Rolling Meadows, IL location. This position is contingent upon
funding/contract award, special access program, and acquiring and
maintaining the necessary US Government security clearance per
customers' requirements prior to start. Basic Qualifications: Must
have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, or Math) discipline with 2 years of relevant
experience OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 0
years of relevant experience Proven ability to lead and communicate
with cross-functional teams internally and with customers
externally Demonstrated experience in creating and delivering
technical briefings and presentations U.S Citizenship required Must
be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security Clearance with
additional customer specified clearance prior to start Preferred
Qualifications: Skill with SAP, ISE, Teamcenter, and MRO
Obsolescence management experience Active DoD Secret Security
Clearance or higher Primary Level Salary Range: $79,600.00 -
$99,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline;
however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when
determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the
position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift
differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability
insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off
