Honeywell UOP is seeking a qualified chemist with experience
primarily in Infrared (IR) and Raman spectroscopy but also X-ray
Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS) to join our Advanced Characterization
group within our Materials Characterization department, part of
Honeywell UOP's Research & Development organization. The individual
should have working knowledge and experience working with different
forms of spectroscopy with a major focus being in IR and Raman
spectroscopy and minor focus on XAS studies.
The successful candidate will be expected to play a supporting role
in the operation and acquisition of data from different
spectroscopic techniques and familiarity working at a national
laboratory beamline. The individual will work on teams and interact
and collaborate with engineers and scientists from across Materials
Characterization. For a successful candidate the position will
provide an intellectual challenge and the ability to work on a
variety of complex materials and characterization problems.
You will report directly to our R&D Manager and you'll work out
of our Des Plaines, IL location.--
The annual base salary or/ hourly pay range for this position is
$74,000 - $92,600. Please note that this salary information serves
as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when

2+ years of experience in infrared spectroscopy or a related field
