Job Description:

Kranze Technology Solutions is seeking a Quality Engineer (QE) to join our growing Quality team. This QE will be supporting Supplier Quality, Customer Quality, Quality Systems and Production. The position will ensure that Suppliers are approved and monitored according to our AS9100 Standard. The QE will also ensure products are produced in accordance with customer specifications, internal requirements and our AS9100 quality system.
Responsibilities:

• Works with the Director of Quality in the support of the various business and quality systems
• Focuses on Mechanical Requirements
• Works on approval of suppliers needed for Supply Chain
• Coordinates and/or performs inspections of raw materials and finished products, applying appropriate quality assurance sampling and testing requirements
• Reviews the Quality aspects of contracts for quality clauses and other quality planning criteria
• Develops quality plans based on contract and internal design, manufacturing, inspection and testing requirements
• Monitors supplier performance and tabulates supplier scorecard information
• Works with Supply Chain to improve suppliers and administer Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA's)
• Offers technical guidance and support in response to quality testing and analysis
• Ensure products meet customer expectations based on company objectives
• Input data and communicate the results of inspections/test results
• Member of the MRB team who also works to identify issues and their root causes
• Work with the Quality Director and other team members to administer RCCA's as needed for QMS, Internal and Customer issues
• Ensure appropriate quality related paperwork is generated and maintained
• Performs other duties as assigned
  Minimum Educational Qualifications:
  
  • Bachelors degree in a related field (Quality, Engineering, Math, Industrial, etc.) or Associates degree with related coursework and/or work history
    Minimum Previous Experience:
    
    • Proven experience of 3+ years as a quality engineer within an aviation, electro-mechanical, fabrication, connector/cable, or defense industry
    • Knowledge of mechanical measurements
      Other Preferred Skills:
      
      • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred
      • Experience with APQP, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Strong working knowledge and experience with Quality Management Systems (ex. AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.)
      • Excellent understanding and working knowledge of MS Excel, ERP systems and other software
      • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
      • Team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite or related software
      • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. US Citizenship required
