Illinois Bone & Joint Institute is one of the largest independent physician-owned orthopaedic practices in the U.S. More than 100 board-certified and fellowship-trained physicians and surgeons treat children and adults, with expertise in every orthopaedic specialty. IBJI offers patients collaborative, integrated care including advanced MRI and bone density diagnostics, sports training and medicine, rheumatology, podiatry, pain management, wellness, rehabilitation, and surgical and non-surgical treatments and therapies. IBJI has more than 20 locations throughout Chicago and the north suburbs. IBJI's OrthoAccess walk-in clinics offer same day immediate orthopaedic care. IBJI was founded in 1990 and incorporates decades of experience from highly-skilled and respected provider teams.
Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Marketing is responsible for planning, development and implementation of all external brand marketing initiatives. This role facilitates building brand awareness and growth with targeted messaging campaigns for various audiences and diverse demographics. This highly visible role serves as the direct point of contact and accountability to external marketing deliverables.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:1. Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and communication plan in accordance with IBJI's organizational brand strategy.2. Responsible for all marking channel oversight including: web, social media, earned media, events, traditional advertising, search engine optimization, print and digital collateral, etc.3. Lead marketing development process from project definition and planning through implementation and evaluation. Includes creating timelines, utilizing appropriate communication channels, prioritization and organizational skills to keep stakeholders informed and on-track throughout the project life cycle.4. Provide strategic direction and management for all digital marketing efforts. Establish a digital strategy that fits within brand strategy while establishing clear and measurable objectives using digital tools including Google Analytics and other available reporting resources.5. Serve as direct point of contact and resource for service lines, physician sections, and centers of excellence committees for marketing consultation, requests, and activation.6. Act as "brand gatekeeper" to ensure IBJI brand identity is consistently executed within market; ensures accuracy of information across all marketing channels.7. Collaborate with leadership to identify, create, and manage strategic partnerships that can be leveraged for audience growth and brand awareness.8. Assists in the development of the marketing budget; tracks and monitors marketing related expenses; provides reports to leadership.9. Provide oversight of vendors and other business partners to ensure accountability and execution of deliverables10. Compile data and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports of marketing activity and report results to executive leadership.11. Conduct analyses and evaluates local market trends and adjusts marketing goals to address competitive conditions and enhance marketing initiatives and strategy.12. Carry out supervisory responsibilities including assigning, directing work; and establishing deadlines; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; coordinating, developing, and approving staff training; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.13. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:1. Hold a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, and/or related field. Master's degree is a plus, but not required.2. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a progressively responsible role related to marketing management. Healthcare industry experience preferred, but not required.3. Demonstrated understanding of digital marketing technologies and best practices, from search marketing and web design to social media advertising, lead generation, and application development.4. A demonstrated track record of understanding the strategic needs in a challenging environment with positive outcomes in quality, cost, productivity, and patient and employee satisfaction5. Proven project management skills evidenced by the ability to prioritize, effectively coordinate multiple vendors and resources, meet deadlines and adhere to budgets6. Demonstrated emotional intelligence; can integrate with a team, build trust and leverage relationships to get work done7. Possess a keen focus on results, and can navigate within ambiguity while maintaining a high-level of humility.8. This position requires work outside of regular schedule which includes attendance at evening meetings and weekend events
