Job Description Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a
detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to
join our finance team. The Receivables person will be responsible
for managing the full cycle of customer invoicing, payment
processing, account reconciliation, and collections activities.
This role plays a critical part in maintaining healthy cash flow,
minimizing overdue accounts, and ensuring accurate financial
records in a fast-paced environment increasingly supported by
automation tools. Key Responsibilities - Generate and issue
accurate customer invoices in a timely manner according to company
policies and sales terms - Post incoming customer payments (checks,
wire transfers, credit cards, ACH, digital wallets) to the
appropriate accounts in the accounting system - Maintain and update
customer accounts, including recording credits, adjustments, and
disputes - Monitor accounts receivable aging reports daily/weekly
and follow up on overdue balances - Send professional payment
reminders, statements, and collection emails/letters; make outbound
collection calls when necessary - Investigate and resolve payment
discrepancies, short payments, overpayments, and billing inquiries
in coordination with customers and internal teams (sales, customer
service, shipping) - Reconcile customer accounts and prepare
month-end AR reports and schedules - Prepare and post journal
entries related to receivables activities - Assist with cash
application and cash forecasting support - Respond promptly and
professionally to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments,
and account status - Collaborate with the credit team on new
customer credit applications and credit limit reviews when required
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation
and explanations of AR transactions - Continuously identify
opportunities to improve AR processes, including increased use of
automation and electronic payment methods
