Job Description Job Description Tax Senior Tax Senior Position Overview The Tax Senior will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive tax services to a diverse client base, including corporations, partnerships, and high net worth individuals. The successful candidate will be responsible for tax planning, compliance, and research to ensure clients adhere to IRS regulations while optimizing their tax positions. Key Responsibilities Conduct tax research to stay informed about current tax laws and regulations. Prepare and review complex tax returns for various entities including individuals, corporations, and partnerships. Assist in tax planning strategies that enhance client tax positions. Support client compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Manage tax audits and provide necessary documentation to IRS or state tax authorities. Collaborate with clients to gather financial information and ensure accurate tax preparation. Utilize accounting principles and financial reporting standards in tax preparation and analysis. Provide guidance to junior staff and assist in their professional development. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is highly preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of tax experience in public accounting or a similar role. Strong knowledge of IRS regulations and tax compliance for corporate, partnership, and individual tax. Proficient in tax software and accounting systems such as SAP and Excel. Familiarity with GAAP and financial analysis principles. Experience with tax preparation for high net worth individuals and small businesses.
