guests and an effective, positive workplace. \n \n SECTION TWO:
Sales Coordinator, Role Specific Duties and Expectations \n \n The
Sales Coordinator at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare Chicago will play an
important role in the overall success of our sales team. The ideal
candidate will have the ability to connect with people in a
meaningful way. They will have a hands-on approach that will
contribute to satisfied and loyal clients. \n \n Responsibilities:
\n \n Respond to group inquiries and other requests in a timely
manner \n Block groups in hotel systems \n Prepare, show rooms, and
give tours to walk-in clients \n Create and distribute flyers for
special events \n Oversee group blocks and rooming lists, ensuring
accuracy using our reservation system \n Route billing, payments,
etc. \n Prepare reports for revenue management and sales teams \n
Assist with scheduling and servicing meeting rooms as needed \n
Order and inventory sales amenities and supplies \n Provide support
and sales insight \n Other duties as assigned by management \n \n
SECTION THREE: Qualifications & Requirements \n \n Qualifications:
\n \n Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn. \n
Sales experience in hospitality or in a related field. \n Possess
highly developed verbal & written communication skills. \n Ability
to influence others, negotiate, provide friendly service and
possess professional selling skills. \n Must be able to work
independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks. \n Must
have attention to detail, meet deadlines and demonstrate strong
organization and presentation skills. \n \n \n Physical Working
Demands & Working Environment: \n The physical demands described
here are representative of those that must be met to successfully
perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the
duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: \n \n
Stand or remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
(3-4 hours at a time). \n Type on and operate computers and other
office machinery or devices, do 10-key operation and data entry,
dial a telephone, manually manipulate objects, handles, tools,
and/or controls. \n Inspect and visually observe details at close
range (within a few feet) and from long range. \n Frequently
walking around the property to give tours of the building. \n \n
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (phone
ringing, and heavy communication between co-workers and customers).
Some travel may be required to meet with prospective and current
clients. \n \n Language and Reasoning Skills: To perform the duties
of this job, an individual must be able to: \n \n Read, write,
understand and communicate with others effectively using the
English language. \n Read and interpret documents in English, such
as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and
procedure manuals, newspapers, periodicals, journals, and manuals.
\n Write routine reports, correspondence, business letters,
summaries, and reports in English using prescribed format, and
conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and
style. \n Ability to speak effectively in English before groups
such as customers or employees. \n Read and interpret business
