Accounting Supervisor - $100,000 to $115,000 per year plus bonus ABOUT THE COMPANY We've been engaged by a mid sized manufacturer with a corporate office located in Oakbrook. The firm has a few locations in the midwest area as well as an international location. This International leader offers unbelievable exposure and opportunity to attain or apply Accounting Supervisory skills as part of this Management Team Organization is positioned for further growth You will have the ability to improve processes and put your own fingerprint on things Company is preforming well: ahead of budget this year in sales and 20% over budget from previous year! 2023 was a record year for the organization Open office concept OVERVIEW OF THE ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOT ROLE: A broad scope position whereby the Accounting Supervisor will wear many hats and oversee the work of 2 Staff Accountants. Just challenges and initiatives to centralize transactional accounts payable functions from a few branch locations with a great team. As Accounting Supervisor you will oversee the staff processing payroll, A/P and A/R as well as assist the Controller in general ledger accounting functions This Accounting Supervisory role involves driving processes and bringing in new systems / efficiencies The Accounting Supervisor will review the expense report submissions via Concur Treasury reporting and posting cash daily and reconciling daily cash and payment submissions The Accounting Supervisor will prepare financial statements and be responsible for commentary for anomalies that stand out from one month over previous month The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for month close and assisting in the consolidations of a few entities WHAT WE ARE SEEKING IN AN ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR: Bachelors' Degree in Accounting or Finance with experience of 3 years of core month close and preparation of financials ERP systems experience and use of a larger ERP or SAP is a plus Previous managerial experience in accounting or finance preferred accounting experience from a manufacturing or distributor.
