  Summary:
  The Controller is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of all day to day accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit and collection areas of the company and ensuring the overall integrity of the accounting systems.
  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  
  • 
    
  • Determine work procedures and expedite workflow for both the accounts receivable and accounts payable areas; ensure work is completed timely and accurately.
    
  • Manage the timely completion of month and year-end close procedures.
    
    • 
      
    • Analyze reserve accounts quarterly and adjust ongoing reserve amounts.
      
      
      
      • 
        
      • Prepare and distribute expenditure reports to management
        
      • Prepare Activity Metrics for incorporation in financial reports
        
      • Process monthly interest expense (update interest tracking s/s, balance monthly, update performance metrics s/s)
        
      • Balance various GL accounts
        
      • Maintain fixed asset schedule
        
        
        
        • 
          
        • Assist with financial statement preparation.
          
          • 
            
          • Modify balance sheet accounts (A/R, A/P, Inventory)
            
          • Create Financial Statement package
            
            
            
            • 
              
            • Lead annual audit preparation.
              
            • Assist with external reporting requirements
              
            • Manage Accounting Team
              
              
              
              

              • 
                
              • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed
                
              • Handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.
                
              • Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year.
                
                
                
                • 
                  
                • Ensure procedures are regularly updated and new ones written as needed. Other responsibilities
                  
                  Experience Preferred:
                  
                  • 
                    
                  • BS in Accounting
                    
                  • 5+ years progressive accounting experience
                    
                  • Management experience
                    
                  • Process improvement oriented
                    
                    
                    CB2
