Come join our team, where our associates are our greatest asset!JOB SUMMARY:The Senior Total Rewards Specialist develops and administers sustainable all-associate total rewards programs; manages all records that feed into payroll processing; owns payroll year-end audits; manages associate benefit plans and acts as a subject matter expert for associates with benefits or payroll questions in support of an associate engagement culture. This role is also responsible for leading requirements definition and administration of human resources information systems (HRIS) and reports to the VP of HR.RESPONSIBILITIES:Compensation* Develops and implements salary structure and administrative guidelines in accordance with compensation policy. * Conducts job analysis to determine appropriate salary level according to HARIBO compensation guidelines and policy. * Analyzes organizational pay practices and makes recommendations for salary changes to ensure equity. * Recommends and implements new compensation programs or incentive systems that support the organization's objectives. * Partners with hiring managers and talent acquisition in the development and maintenance of job descriptions. * Manages and administers 401(k) and other incentive programs, including annual compliance (Safe Harbor, QDIA, SAR, etc.), and annual audit programs.* Owns administration of PTO System, including bi-annual payout, auditing requirements, comp PTO, reporting.* Owns administration of Service Award Program, including consistent and timely communication and dissemination of award certificates. * Manages and administers annual bonus and merit increase program.Payroll* HRIS owner and Subject Matter Expert. * Maintains organizational management and personal administration throughout the associate life-cycle in HRIS. * Payroll coordination, including personnel change form administration for all payroll transactions. * Quarterly and annual audit of YTD payroll, including accurate W2 dissemination.* Backup to payroll processing. Benefits* Develops, recommends, and monitors budget allocations for associate benefits. * Analyzes and evaluates services, coverage, and options available through insurance and investment companies to determine programs and providers best meeting needs of organization. * Subject Matter Expert and point of contact for associates to answer their benefit questions, resolve issues related to access to or payment of benefits, orient newly eligible associates, and process of enrollment and life event changes. * Negotiates and contracts with benefit plan providers, vendors, and auditors for services, premiums and plan administration. * Owner of Plan Source and other benefit portals.* Manages annual Open Enrollment* Administers FMLA and other Leaves of Absence, and consults with managers and health care professionals to evaluate the need for, develop, and implement accommodations, return-to-work, light-duty, and other responses as needed for associates on disability leave. * Manages quarterly HSA contributions.* Manages wellness activities (e.g. Health Assessments, Flu Shot Program) and related reporting, trend analysis, and HR updates.HRIS & Reporting * Implements and tests new system and interfaces with other systems. * HR leader who troubleshoots HRIS system operations, and resolves software and hardware issues.* Trains associates on system access and utilization. * Recommends system design changes and upgrades based on efficiency of current system and user needs. * Generates routine reports and designs custom reports as requested. * Primary Point of contact for reporting, including but not limited to Illinois & Wisconsin incentives, Employee Download, KPI's.* Performs annual audits to ensure system accuracy.Associate Engagement & HR Administration* Develops and monitors Associate Engagement Budget.* Manages celebrations of Associates' life events and supports other associate engagement efforts as needed. * Manages Off-Boarding process, including facilitation of exit interview process and trend analysis and action planning. * Owns legal compliance postings.* Creates and maintains associate personnel and medical files.* Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.* Minimum 5 years of Total Rewards experience with demonstrated knowledge of payroll, benefits, compensation, and HRIS practices and compliance requirements.* High level of integrity, with the ability to maintain complete confidentiality, and properly address sensitive Issues.* Strong technical skills, including the ability to learn new software programs, create and manipulate reports, and database maintenance.* Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.* Detail orientated, and able to perform with a high degree of accuracy* Human Resources and/or Payroll certification a plus* Knowledge in the areas of: ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA and other similar state specific leave laws.* Ability to lead, develop, direct and hold others accountable to HARIBO's high standards. * Ability to train others and coach to compliance.
